Aurora at Sea

Aurora at Sea?! After 13 years of dedicating my life to guiding others to the Northern Lights, I still feel like I’m dreaming. You may have already heard, but I have some truly phenomenal news to share!

Thanks to the generosity of an individual in my own life and with a heart filled with graittude, I set sail on the famous Hurtigruten Northern Lights Cruise in October! I’ve been honored and humbled to be able to bring an Admin of the Michigan Aurora Chasers with me on the trip, Christina Cantu Sharp!

We are cruising for 15 days on the North Cape Line, which traces the coast of Norway on a Northern Lights Promise cruise! This means if guests don’t see the Aurora on the trip, they get another trip free. Our cruise has taken us beyond the Arctic Circle, to an over 1,000-ft high cliff that plunges into the sea, where the only dry land between us and the North Pole was the Svalbard archipelago. It brought us to Honningsvåg to drive out to “Nordkapp,” the North Cape, Norway’s Northernmost point acessible by land!

Pinch me. Am I dreaming?!? The way the Aurora community has united and grown together is truly inspiring. And it has lifted me up too. From the 8th Annual Aurora Summit, to my book Beyond the 45th Parallel, to the Michigan Aurora Chasers, Aurora and Night Sky Adventures, and beyond… Wow, the memories we have shared!

After a 20-year hiatus in world travel due to personal challenges of the past, I have only begun to travel internationally again after the global pandemic, breaking the ice with Iceland in November 2024. Many have asked if I lead international tours — not at the moment. But this is only the beginning! I’m building my experience now.

This season, I’m eager to focus on the light! I am just so deeply grateful for all the adventures we’ve shared and for every adventure to come. I can’t wait to bring you more perspectives on the Aurora, through the lens of an Arctic cruise!!

With a few dear friends, Christina and I embarked on our journey to the Norwegian Sea in the second week of October. We’ll be holding a virtual session to share stories and advice from our trip at 10:30am ET, on November 1, 2025! The event is linked on the KaelinArt.com homepage.

Thank you for your support along all of these wild adventures! I promise I will make time to write, inspire, and share the beauty!!! 💥🌎☄️😎🛳
