Contest Details:

  • Theme: Anything goes! The goal is to showcase your art and your style, so please create the cover art you want to create or submit existing art. For background, the book touches on these ideas: Pandemic, social distancing, COVID-19, isolation, grief, wearing masks, social media, self-image, U.S. politics, civil unrest, social justice, racism, diversity, tolerance, being an artist, finding hope and peace.
  • Medium and Style: Any medium or style of art is welcome! The artwork will be used on a digital anthology, that can also be ordered in glossy paperback using print-on-demand.
  • Dimensions: The cover art will be fitted to the dimensions of 6 inches width x 9 inches height, Resolution of 300 dpi. Art must be at least this size. Square and horizontal rectangle dimensions are also acceptable, if you’d like to leave room for the book title above or below the cover art.
  • Color: Any color combination welcome, including full color, black and white, or two-tone or three-tone
  • Text Options:
    Option A:
No words should appear on the image. This option lets the editor superimpose the words on the cover alongside or overlapping the art. Artist will be involved in the design process, for a satisfactory cover image.

  • New Participants: We’re seeking entries from people who have not already had work selected for publication in this project. If you will already be published in the anthology, please let someone new have an opportunity in this contest.
  • Awards: The winning cover artist will be awarded a prize of $50. We know this is not a large sum, but the book is being created to raise funds for charity. The winner will also be promoted on social media to over 2,000 followers, including their desired websites and cash apps for donations to the artist.
